New chapter for MindSpace as it relocates to a new hub

15 August 2025

Stamford’s mental wellbeing charity, MindSpace is on the move!

In what marks an exciting new chapter for the charity, it will be relocating from its hub at 39 Broad Street to a new venue at 6 Red Lion Street.

As MindSpace has been growing, this is an opportunity for it to develop its current offerings to improve the wellbeing of the local community. With a larger more flexible space, it enables the charity to enhance provision of group sessions, 1-1, and private meetings, extend its relationships and work more closely with other organisations in the area.

The move allows MindSpace to increase its capacity to connect and listen to its participants, which remains at the heart of its work. Through its varied activities and services, MindSpace actively engages in conversations and listening. This is fundamental to building relationships, giving people a sense of worth and promoting wellbeing.

An exciting next step

Chair of Trustees at MindSpace Stamford, Beka Avery says,Our new premises are such an exciting next step for MindSpace! Still in the heart of Stamford, this space will enable us to deliver our essential wellbeing and listening support in a more dynamic, yet still warm and friendly, setting. Our aim for our new Wellbeing Hub is for it to be more accessible. We want to provide the space for enhanced partnerships, bringing other organisations and services the opportunity to get into the heart of Stamford.

‘We want this to be a vibrant hub, full of life and warmth that is there for everyone as they navigate the ups and downs that life brings. Our mission at MindSpace is to always be here to listen. We continue to share our knowledge around achieving positive wellbeing to empower people in our community. This new premises will enable us to be more connected to our mission then ever before.’

Calls for community support

Volunteers are fundamental to the running of MindSpace and a big part of the move will involve the local community. The charity is calling for support in the form of trades, plumbers, electricians, designers and decorators, and anyone who could help with some of the renovation work that will be necessary to bring the new space to life.

Beka says: ‘To make it the wellbeing hub our community truly deserves, we need your help. Whether it’s giving your time, your practical or professional skills, or you are able to donate to help us buy furniture, paint- our shopping list is quite long!- you can be part of creating something special. A place built by our community, for our community, where every voice is heard.’

MindSpace wants to reassure participants and those who work with the charity, that groups and activities will be running with as little disruption as possible to the normal schedule during the transition phase to the new premises.

This is an opportunity to really come together, listen, connect and grow as a community.
