Hegarty is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024, and at the start of the year, the firm committed to giving back to the communities it serves.

Hegarty pledged to complete 50 fundraising and community initiatives throughout the year, with the goal of raising £10,000 for local charities, including MindSpace.

Incredibly, Hegarty reached this goal months ahead of schedule, raising over £11,000 by July.

The team’s dedication to supporting mental health and community wellbeing was evident in its hands-on involvement with MindSpace. Volunteers from Hegarty helped at MindSpace’s open day, contributing to the upkeep of our beautiful wellbeing garden – a peaceful space for reflection and relaxation that serves the Stamford community.

Hegarty’s team has also taken part in other initiatives, such as food donations to the Peterborough Soup Kitchen and sponsorships of local events like the Deeping Literary Festival. They participated in physically challenging fundraisers, including a virtual cycle challenge, where the team cycled 150 miles in one day, and the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge, which saw them complete a gruelling 24-mile route!

With several months remaining in the year, Hegarty plans to continue its community efforts. From sponsoring local events to volunteering, the team is committed to making a lasting impact in Stamford and beyond, showing that the 50th anniversary is about more than just celebration – it’s about fostering connection and wellbeing with local causes and communities.
