Stamford Santa Run raises £4,600 for MindSpace
Against the back drop of Christmas 2020 and after another year of uncertainty, this year’s Christmas was extra magical for the MindSpace team thanks to all of the organisers and participants in the Santa Fun Run.
The day itself was one full of energy, fun and community spirit and we were thrilled and overwhelmed to receive £4,600 from the proceeds of the event.
Beka Avery commented: ‘As chair of this small, community focused charity I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part and fundraised in support of us and other important local causes. At a time when the mental well-being of our friends, neighbours and colleagues in Stamford and beyond is most in-need of support and protection, the money that we have received will enable us to provide more opportunities for people to connect and receive support. This year we intend to focus on the specific needs of groups within the town including veterans, new and expectant mums and young adults as well as working to extend our opening hours. We can and will do some great things with this funding.’
