Resuming activities
Sharing our tips with you for keeping mentally and physically well during lockdown has been an absolute joy. This, along with running our range of online activities, has really kept us going at MindSpace and we sincerely hope that you have found them helpful.
In February (which seems so long ago), we were full of excitement at all the things we could now do in our new premises at 39 Broad Street. If only we’d known! For a charity that is all about bringing people together, having to close our doors in March was a tough moment.
Things are beginning to change, though. We are thrilled to have resumed outdoor classes including bodyweight and yoga and are working on plans for re-opening the premises for small group activities. Things will be different, there’s no way around that, but what remains the same is that you’ll receive the same warm welcome and mutual support that you did before. It will be great to get back together again.
We would like to thank all of you who have supported and continue to support MindSpace by volunteering, leading activities, fundraising, donating and turning up to enjoy our activities – you are all amazing and we literally couldn’t do it without you.
As a charity, MindSpace relies on grants and donations to operate, and the former are scarce now! We really are so grateful for every penny you donate as we genuinely could not deliver MindSpace without your generosity and support. It is a difficult time for charities, and it’s an unavoidable fact that donations of time alone don’t pay the bills – we require money, too.
To help keep MindSpace at the centre of mental health support in Stamford, please do consider us in your future fundraising efforts. You never know when you or someone you know might need us.
