MindSpace Stamford is a community wellbeing hub where everyone is welcome to come and take part in activities and training that promote positive wellbeing aligned with the NHS endorsed 5 ways to wellbeing.
The main duties of the Host and Participation Administrator at MindSpace will include:
- Taking the lead in ensuring that everyone who comes to MindSpace receives a warm welcome.
- Ensuring the smooth running of MindSpace day to day, including overseeing our premises at 39 Broad Street.
- Being the first point of contact for enquiries (over email, phone and in person) and primary key holder.
- Undertaking day-to-day administration including finance, bookings, collecting feedback, managing our schedule of activities, and supporting the wider MindSpace team.
The person we are looking for:
People attend MindSpace to maintain their positive wellbeing, but also turn to our team when they are facing challenging times. Confidence and the ability to listen and support people sensitively is an essential requirement for this role.
The post-holder will be given a high degree of autonomy and will need to be organised and able to prioritise tasks. It is essential that they are passionate advocate of positive mental health and wellbeing as well as the importance of community and can ally themselves to the values and ethos of the charity.
MindSpace is not a crisis service, and we are not experts in all areas where our attendees might need support. It is important that our Host and Participation Administrator is confident in acknowledging the limits in the support that they can provide and know when to signpost to other services, this could include referrals to the GP, local crisis services or citizens advice (who are based alongside MindSpace).
Our People and Operations Lead will support and mentor the new position holder to aid her/him/them in achieving their full potential within the role.
